Reactor from Zurich, Switzerland formed in 1991. The line up was: Neni - Guitar, vocals, Dany - Bass, Pauli - Guitar, and Howi - Drums. In 1992 they changed their name to Sickening Gore (without Neni and Howi however) and released one album on Massace records from Germany. REACTOR released one demo in 1991 titled ' The Tribunal From Above' .REACTOR played many shows in the early 90's with bands such as Massacre, Asphyx, Bolt Thrower, Running Wild, Bioharard, Kreator...
Better than their work in Sickening Gore, Reactor was a progressive death metal unit that on The Tribunal Above displayed great potential. Much more melodic and outgoing then what they would become, Reactor was a truly original presence on the old school death metal scene, combining aggression, melody and unique atmospheres. Listening to this almost makes you wish they stuck with this style. The demo clocks in at over 32 minutes in 5 songs (which is longer than the Sickenig Gore full-length effort, Destructive Reality), including some minor noises which are on the actual mastertape too (a base overdrive that wasn't noticed, but that was 1991! Analog and raw as shit, but thats how it was back then). Drummer Howi is nowadays drum tech for bands as Guns 'n Roses, Korn and Foo Fighters. Coverart by Roberto Toderico (Soulburn, Asphyx, Sinister).
