Omnipotent and EPIC symphonic black metal from the almighty ELFFOR, long running project by Eol of Basque Country, Spain. Four track album spread over 46 minutes, plus an additional two bonus tracks for further voyage into the chasm of poisonous lament. On the recent split w/ Murgrind, ELFFOR delivered a masterful work of melodic and pure dark ambient, but with this most recent offering entitled 'Malkhedant' we find ourselves delving into the arcane black metal forms. A spell of ferocious blasts and vitriolic menace conjured with sharp blazing guitars, brutal drums and Eol's high painful shrieks balanced by male/female choral arrangements, atmospheric keys and majestic horn lines. A complex work of black metal art with a grand sense of dynamics and scope, highly recommended!
