JIMSONWEED "Ghosts Of Kopli" [12" LP, Black Vinyl, Gatefold]
2016 - Rock from Finland
Detailed Description
Along with Kingston Wall earlier in the 1990s and HIM later in the same decade, Jimsonweed were an integral part of the Helsinki rock scene. Their brand of organic heavy metal was original enough to attract local followers but too original to make it internationally. The band had a wild stage reputation, yet managed to capture their psychedelic Indian-flavored stoner metal on only one full length album. In 2002 Jimsonweed decided it was time to sort things out and put out a proper no-holds-barred album. But then, as the album was being mixed, vocalist Suho disappeared for a time and album plans were scrapped. This year the material was relocated at Finnvox Studios, mastered and is now being put out on luxurious vinyl.
