One listen through to Platinum Overdose debut release "Murder In High Heels" and you might be asking yourself what decade is it? Certainly sounds, feels and looks like the 80's, did these guys actually put a record together in true 80's Rock fashion? Comprised of Matt Thorr of Rough Cutt on Rhythm Guitars, Demon Doll Records owner, album producer and bassist Lance V., Steve Philbrook from Brass Kitten on Vocals and Rick Mead from Syre on Lead Guitars, one could see how these guys could put together such an 80's Rock experience. Explains Lance V. "I've been friends with Matt for over 20 years and once he came on board, I knew we could do this thing right. Recruiting Steve and Rick was a no brainer for me as I've released 4 albums from both of their bands combined and always loved there work. But I wasn't done there ,my first call after completing the lineup was to my friend and great songwriter Aeriel Stiles to see what he could bring to the table and of course without fail he saw my vision and delivered three knock out tracks. I also reached out to the late great Chester Olsefsky's family and got the go ahead to cut two tracks he penned and I originally rehearsed with the band back in 1990 as a member of Champagne Suicide. We penned the rest of the album and everyone worked extremely hard to get this right for nearly nine months and I could not be more excited with the result and we're very enthusiastic for the greatest fans of the greatest era of music ever to hear it, I hope we did you proud" This album comes packaged in a 12 page booklet with a full set of lyrics.
