Detailed Description
When the talk is about high quality 1980s metal, the US band SAVAGE GRACE has a truly legendary reputation. The band's releases belong to the basis of every reasonable metal collection. However, in the new millenium it has become increasingly difficult to find works by the legendary West Coast band. Now and again one may spot an album on vinyl for sale, but it is almost impossible to find official released on CDs. But because the band recently confirmed a performance for the upcoming, 13th "Keep It True" Festival, an official re-release of both their albums with bonus material was an excellent idea. Limb Music got to work and has produced superb re-releases, which more than justify the phenomena known as SAVAGE GRACE. The double package "After The Fall From Grace"/"Ride Into The Night" is the second essential re-release of the Speed Metal legends SAVAGE GRACE. This release, too, was completely remastered and enhanced with quality bonus material. The 1986 album "After The Fall From Grace" was an excellent follow-up to its superb predecessor "Master Of Disguise" and clearly demonstrated the band's development without losing sights of their roots. Worth a special mention are the resounding "We Came, We Saw, We Conquered", "Trial By Fire", the high speed title track and "Flesh And Blood". The four tracks of the "Ride Into The Night" EP (1987) display a musical change but the trademarks of the L.A. band can still be clearly heard. As bonus tracks there are three songs, two of which, "Crazy Saturday Night" and "Bare Bottom Blues" were previously unreleased. By 1991 these two tracks had long been a traditional part of the band's live repertoire and in addition were part of a demo with which SAVAGE GRACE hoped to land a new record deal. The third track, "Mainline Lover", was released only once and that only as part of the rare 1993 metal compilation "American Metal - Heavy 'N' Dirty". With this re-release all those metal fans will at last be able to count these masterpieces of US Speed Metals to their collection without having to spend time and a small fortune hunting them down. Without wanting to repeat ourselves, it is all simply power, speed and harmony, perfectly united - Speed Metal with finely tuned melodies of the very highest quality. SAVAGE GRACE set standards, which have never been reached again since.
