After Manilla Road released their biggest selling album to date - "Crystal Logic", they were instantly influenced by the US 80's Thrash movement when Metallica came out. This next album "Open The Gates" had trails of "Crystal Logic", but you can hear the direction they were heading. Their music was the most metal sounding yet with this release and it really show cased some of their finest tunes ever written.
