Pagan Altar are a long, lost NWOBHM act that have returned with re-recorded versions of tracks originally written in the late 70's and early 80's. Musically, it doesn't have much in common with traditional NWOBHM, but sounds more like old Sabbath or Witchfinder General with a lead vocalist that reminds me a bit of Mark Shelton of Manilla Road fame. Guitarist Alan Jones is the star of this band, though, as he incorporates both classic riffs and solos throughout the entire disc.
